Former Commander of Coalition Forces in Yemen Sentenced to Death

The Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington said on Monday that a military court had sentenced Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, nephew of Saudi King Salman, and the former commander of the coalition forces in Yemen, to death for high treason.

The institute quoted a relative of the Saudi prince spoke as saying “A Saudi military committee sentenced Prince Fahd to death on charges of treason and attempted coup to remove King Salman and his son, Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.”

Prince Fahd bin Turki and his eldest son were arrested last September on charges of corruption and organizing an anti-government coup against King Salman and his son, Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman.

Reports say that Princess Abeer, the daughter of the late King Abdullah, was in exile in Scotland before the arrest of her husband, Prince Fahd bin Turki bin Abdulaziz, and her son last year, and she is described as controlling billions of dollars in various properties around the world.

It is worthy to mention all the sons and daughters of the late Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz were arrested after his death, and their wealth was confiscated, in a campaign the Saudi government claims to be against corruption.
