Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces kidnapped on Sunday a director in Socotra Island, according to local sources.
The sources affirmed that the director of the island’s port, Riyadh Suleiman, was kidnapped by the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) forces, without any unknown reasons.
The STC forces led by the commander of the so-called “Special Forces Camp” appointed by the UAE, Ahmed Morshed, stormed the port administration and kidnapped Suleiman to the camp prison in the island.
The sources indicated that the kidnapping operation came amid the silence of the Saudi forces, which take control over the port, in an attempt to impose a new administration loyal to the Emirates, to facilitate the entry of weapons and military equipment to the province.
The UAE forces took control of the city of Hadibo, the capital of the Socotra island in last June, following the withdrawal of the Saudi forces from the entrances to the city, in an operation described as “Saudi treason.”
