Sana’a Air force on Tuesday carried out an offensive attack on Abha International Airport in Asir region.
Spokesman of Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, said the operation targeted an important target at Abha International Airport with a Qasif2 aircraft, adding that the damage was direct.
Brig. Gen. Sarie said the army and popular committees’ operations are continuing as long as the war and siege of the country continue.
This came less than 24 hours after an earlier targeting of the same airport.
On Sunday, the air force targeted the military airfields at the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait with two Qasef 2k drones, and also targeted a sensitive target inside Abha airport with a Sammad 3 drone.
The spokesman confirmed that the drone attack accurately hit the target at the airport saying that “this targeting comes in response to the enemy’s air escalation and its continued siege on the Yemeni people.”
