Saudi Arabia waves the force to impose Riyadh agreement

The Saudi king loomed in a statement on Wednesday to use force to impose implement Riyadh Agreement on the conflict parties in south of Yemen.

This comes on the reality of a mutual escalation between STC and Hadi in Abyan province, as well as Islah party in the east of the country.

In a statement published by the official Saudi Press Agency, “WAS”, the king considered in the cabinet meeting that Riyadh Agreement is the only solution to get out of the conflict circle, pointing out his country’s adherence to the agreement, hinting indirectly at imposing it by force.

The king’s meeting with the Saudi cabinet came on the eve of field developments that predict the failure to implement the agreement, especially the military part of it.

Abyan province witnessed during the past hours the fiercest battles, amid unprecedented military build-ups for the conflict parties, meanwhile, Hadhramaut and Shabwah province witnessed escalating tension within arrangements to expel Islah factions from those provinces that are rich in oil and gas.

The meeting also coincided with the arrival of a Saudi military delegation to Abyan, in an attempt to end the conflict between the two parties.

Prior to Eid Al-Adha, Saudi Arabia was able to conclude a political agreement in a hurry that includes approval on forming a new government, but since then it has not been able to implement any step on the ground amid signs of new failure despite the amendments it made in favor of UAE’s followers in STC.
