Angry protest rally cuts off streets in Aden

Dozens of angry citizens protested on Wednesday and cut off several roads and main streets in Aden province, local sources said.

The sources affirmed that tens of demonstrators cut off the road of Kritar area and burned cars’ wheels to prevent cars from entering the area.

The sources mentioned that the angry protesters have been calling for improvement of the collapsed services in the city, especially water, health and electricity, for five years.

on Tuesday, Protests erupted as water crisis continued in the southern port city of Aden.

According to local sources, angry protesters have cut off major and secondary roads in city due to lack of water.

It said the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) has arrested director of water institution, Fat’hi al-Saqqaf.

Al-Saqqaf said in a video that power cuts from facilities caused water outage.
