14 new COVID-19 cases reported in southern Yemen

Over the past 24-hour period ending on Sunday, a number of 14 more patients tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Yemen, with the national tally of cases reaching 1,103.

The Health Ministry in the internationally recognized government  said in a brief press statement that during the past 24 hours, the number of recoveries in the government-controlled areas increased to 417 since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus on April 10.

The Ministry added that the death toll from the deadly respiratory disease climbed to 296 in different areas under its control, including the southern port city of Aden.
