Yemen records worst day for COVID-19 with 116 New Cases , 844 In Total

Yemen recorded its worst day for coronavirus deaths on Monday bring the total number of COVID-19 cases in Yemen’s government-controlled provinces increased to 844 , as 116 new cases were confirmed.

116 new coronavirus cases reported, with 36 deaths, raising the total number of infections to 844 and total fatalities to 208, with 79 recoveries, the emergency coronavirus committee of Yemen government said on Twitter

The Health Ministry in Hadi’s government said in a brief statement that during the past 24 hours, the number of recoveries in the government-controlled areas increased to 79 since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus on April 10.

The emergency coronavirus committee reported 73 cases in Hadhramout with 32 deaths, and 24 cases in Shabwa with two deaths, in addition to five cases in Aden.

It said that Taiz reported three cases with two deaths, and 3 cases in Lahj, seven in Abyan, while Al Dalea reported one case.

The committee reported 26 recovered cases in three provinces: 16 in Shabwa, eight in Hadhramout and two in Abyan.
