A spokesperson of Southern Transitional Council (STC) , Nizar Haitham, said that the council’s talks with the internationally recognized government in Saudi Arabia to implement Riyadh agreement had reached to a dead end.
Haitham pointed out that parties in the government of the ousted president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, are putting pressure on the coalition, where it rejects the military settlement in the north and escalate in south.
Information confirmed that Saudi Arabia subjected the president of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, to a house arrest.
Nizar Haitham said that Hadi government refused to implement the political track and refused to dismiss the government, which is considered illegitimate after signing Riyadh agreement.
Violent confrontations returned to Abyan between transitional and legitimacy, amid reinforcements from both sides.
