Saudi Arabia imposed house arrest on the head of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, in its capital, Riyadh.
A source in Riyadh said that the imposition of house arrest on Al-Zubaidi came after the consultations bogged down that were between the transitional and the legitimacy.
In the same context, a source in the Southern Transitional Council said that after Saudi Arabia agreed to form a government, it came up with a new project that includes a southern federation.
According to the source, the project includes Aden, Lahj and Al-Dhali ‘, and Abyan, one region under the control of the Southern Transitional Council, and direct Saudi supervision, while Shabwa, Al Mahra and Hadramout are under the control of a third party under the supervision of Saudi Arabia as well.
The source confirmed that this matter is unacceptable to the Southern Council.
