Sana’a Condemns Plundering of Resources from Aden Central Bank

The Higher Economic Committee in the capital, Sana’a, (loyal to Houthis government)expressed its “regret at the United Nations state of inaction regarding promises of payment of salaries, especially while the Yemeni people are in the midst of suffering the siege for years and in a bitter confrontation with the corona epidemic.”

“The new epidemic of corona was compounded by the silence of the international community regarding the dangers to which the Yemeni people are exposed, especially the people of the occupied provinces who are exposed to death by the epidemic of corona and other diseases without the slightest care,” the committee said in a statement.

“This occurs while the people’s money is being looted from the Central Bank in Aden in broad daylight, with tens of billions, with protection from the occupier, who is also involved in razing the country’s wealth without an account and with international silence,” it added.

It is indicated that documents and official communications, spread on social media, revealed that the so-called Southern Transitional Council has looted more than 10 billion Yemeni riyals, from the Central Bank in Aden.

The documents include a directive from Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, head of the so-called “Self-rule administration of the South” and acting President of the Transitional Council, to the Deputy Director of the Central Bank, Shakib Al-Hubaishi.
