Sana’a forces supported by popular committees deterred Saudi-backed forces military crawling attempt from two paths in Bayda province, Sana’a forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie said.
“Our forces were able to thwart a two-track offensive, one in the Dahaki and the other from Al-Aqla, towards the positions of our forces in al-Arakoub in al-Sawoma’a district, Bayda province” he said.
He stressed the response to the march that continued from the morning until this afternoon and inflicted the enemy heavy losses in the equipment and killing and injuring dozens in its ranks and forced it to retreat and break down without any progress.
According to Brigadier Sarie, the coalition warplane waged 53 airstrikes on various areas in Marib and Al-Jawf provinces, including 42 raids on Majzar and Sirwah districts in Marib, and 11 raids on al-Hazm, Khabb wa ash Sha’af districts in Jawf.
