Prominent Commander in Hadi’s Forces Brig. Gen. Jawas Killed in Aden
Brigadier General Thabet Muthanna Jawas, his son and a number of his companions, were killed on Wednesday in a car bomb blast targeted their car on the road between Aden and Lahj provinces in southern Yemen, “Russia Today” correspondent in Yemen reported.
Russia Today’s correspondent confirmed that the explosion killed Jawas, his son, and three of his companions.
Media outlets affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) also confirmed the killing of Jawas, commander of the Al-Anad military axis, commander of the 131st Infantry Brigade, as a result of a car bomb explosion that targeted his convoy in the Green Area, while he was on his way back from performing the duty of condolences to the leader Radfan Saeed Saleh, on the death of one of his relatives.
This comes after the commander of the so-called “security belt” of the STC in Abyan province, Abdullatif al-Sayed, was subjected to an assassination attempt by detonating a car bomb, which led to the killing and wounding of several of his companions.
