Sheikhs of Marib Arrive in Sana’a to Discuss Peace’s Initiative
A delegation of Marib province’s sheikhs arrived on Monday in the capital Sana’a to discuss the initiative presented by Leader of Anssarallah, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi to the Omani mediation delegation to bring peace to the province.
A southern journalist loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, “Marwan Al-Ahmadi,” said in a series of tweets on Twitter, “Sanaa’s initiative for achieving a solution regarding the city of Marib made many of Marib sheikhs rush to Sana’a.
Al-Ahmadi added: “A large number of the sheikhs of Abaidah, Murad and Al-Jadaan visit Sanaa, at an invitation made by the sheikhs of those tribes who are in Sanaa to study and sign the initiative.”
Marib sheikhs are moving outside the framework of the coalition and the “Hadi government” to open the doors of dialogue with the National Salvation Government in Sanaa, in which initiatives coincide with a major military advance by the Yemeni forces towards the outskirts of the city of Marib.
