Slaughtering a Houthi Prisoner in Al-Baidha Complicates Prisoners’ Negotiations

Al-Qaeda, the most prominent faction loyal to the coalition of war on Yemen, on Monday, slaughtered one of the prisoners, in a step that carries a timely message to thwart any international move, to achieve a breakthrough in this faltering file due to the Saudi guardianship to the loyal factions.

Exclusive-Alkhabar Alyemeni:

Media sources reported that a prisoner was executed in Al-Baidha province, as Saudi Arabia supports an escalation by its factions there, led by Al-Qaeda to an operation against Sana’a forces in central Yemen.

Although the operation is not new to the coalition factions, which have previously executed a number of prisoners in their prisons, according to what Sanaa revealed earlier,

However, the new operation coincided with the visit of the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Mauier to Sana’a, during which he met the head of the Prisoners’ Committee of Sana’a delegation to negotiations, and he offered his committee’s readiness to facilitate a full prisoner exchange, referring to Saudi Arabia’s attempt, which prevented its followers from implementing any new agreements in this regard. According to the head of Sana’a Committee, Abdul Qadir Al-Murtadha, in previous statements complicating any attempt by Mawyer to conclude prisoner exchange deals, amid her fears that the head of Red Cross, who started his tour in Yemen by visiting Aden and meeting with the transitional head, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, arranges an agreement between Sana’a and Aden away from it, especially since the meeting came in the wake of Al-Zubaidi’s statements in which he vowed to release the former Minister of Defense in Hadi’s government, Mahmoud Al-Subaihi.

In the context, the newspaper, “Al-Sharq al-Awsat” owned by the Saudi government, reported that the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross aims, through his current visit to Sana’a and Aden, to supervise the implementation of a new agreement between the Hadi government and Sana’a related to the opening of Ibb-Aden road through Al- Dhale province, in a move that was interpreted as a Saudi attempt to limit Mauier’s visit to this step, which aims to open the way for the flow of new currencies to Sana’a regions and force Sana’a to deal with the printed currency outside the coverage by diverting the shipping route to Aden port and evading the entitlements of opening the port of Hodeidah.

The newspaper pointed out that Hadi’s government agreed to all the conditions in Sanaa related to opening the way for commercial traffic, expecting Mawyer to start supervising the implementation process.
