Houthis Assert Continuation of Drone Strikes unless Saudi Airstrikes Stop

Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, has said that their forces will stop attacks on Saudi Arabia only if it stops its airstrikes on Yemen.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi affirmed that they are ready for peace if  there is a seriousness.

Al-Houthi said in a tweet: “We are the ones who call for peace and we have offered many solutions for it, but what has happened so far is that the bombing of American, British and European aircraft continues and the fighting continues.”

Al-Houthi added: “Stop the bombing in exchange for the bombing, we are ready if there is seriousness as a first point stop drone aircraft and missile attacks on the countries of aggression if they stop airstrikes on the provinces and fronts.”

For his part, Mohammed Abdulsalam, Spokesman of Yemen’s Anssarallah Movement and senior negotiator of the Sana’a National Salvation Government, said “that the operations of the Sana’a forces are purely defensive and will continue to stop the “aggression” and lift the siege imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.

Abdul-Salam affirmed on Twitter, “there is not real peace without practical steps on the ground, whatever are positive statements.”

He addressed the coalition countries, saying, “Stop the aggression and lift the siege on our people for achieving peace for all.”
