Al-Houthi calls on US to end its support for Saudi coalition

A Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, Mohammad Ali al-Houthi, has called on the US to end its support for the Saudi-led coalition that has been waging a brutal war against Yemen since  March 2015.

Al-Houthi said in a tweet on Tuesday: “America should issue a ban on sending arms, warplanes and logistical support to Saudi-led coalition in the violence war against Yemen, which is better reviewed until February 26,” referring to the expiration date of the US license that authorizes transactions with Anssarullah Movement.

“The money raised by the US Treasury Department was the price of the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition terrorism in Yemen by killing children and women, and destroying and starving Yemen,” he added

The US  Department of State has announced that it has begun to review Anssarullah’s designation as a terrorist organization and that it is working as quickly as possible to end the process and make a decision.
